Why are oats good for dogs?

Oats are a completely healthy and beneficial food for all dog breeds (unless the dog is allergic to this herb, of course).

For years, animal nutrition experts have been conducting tests which show that the inclusion of oats in a dog's diet is a great way to help provide them with a complete and balanced diet.

The most important thing is to give the product correctly. Using it excessively could have side effects for the animal's health. Furthermore, the oats you give them should always be as natural as possible, with less additives and sugars. If possible, it would be much better to give them organic oats, which you can find in any bio shop.

How to give oats to your dog

It's best to cook the oats before feeding them to a dog. They might not like raw oats very much, and they may find them hard to chew, swallow and digest them. Some people occasionally mix oats with dog feed to make the meal even more complete, also ensuring that the dog doesn't get bored of the individual flavors.

It's best not to use milk, since dogs don't tolerate dairy products particularly well. Make the oats with water and try not to add sugar, salt or any other additive. After cooking them, remember to let it cool down. You don't want to burn your pet's mouth!

The right amount of oats for a dog depends on their weight. An ideal measurement is one tablespoon of oats for every 9 kilos, once or twice a week, never more than three times. Giving your pet small quantities of the best oats will benefit your pet greatly.
