Docile dog breeds
A docile dog breed is not necessarily one which doesn't like exercise. Keeping a calm temperament and cool head even in the face of aggressive or exciting stimuli is something which can be common in a breed which likes to run around when given the opportunity as much as a sedentary indoor dog. Regardless of breed or size, the most docile dog breeds are those which respond well to training and socialization.
These dog breeds are considered docile because they do not get excitable and maintain composure. Some large dog breeds are gentle giants, but size is generally not a good way to tell if a dog is going to be docile. Some dogs may be docile, but this doesn't mean they won't defend their family if they feel threatened. Others might be docile and shrink away from confrontation. Here we show you what types of dogs fit this description and how you can best adapt them to your family.
